Still Me by Jojo Moyes is the third book of the series. The first book is Me Before You which is the book that became a major motion picture. Three of the books by Jojo are absolutely phenomenal and kind of related to real-life stories everyone could relate to. Louisa Clark is the protagonist of the story Still Me. The events that happen in her life Are always adventurous throughout the book Still Me.
Lou’s Life
She steps into the world of the superrich, working for Leonard Gopnik and his much younger second wife, Agnes. Lou is determined to get the most out of the experience and throws herself into her new job and New York life. Funny, romantic, and poignant, Still Me follows Lou as she navigates how to stay true to herself while pushing to live boldly in her brave new world. Sam the boyfriend of Louisa lost some points here and there but in the end, he gained them which was worth considering the character till the end even though that phase made Lou realize certain things and get achievements in a certain different way which was a pleasure to read.
Title
Louisa Clark is definitely Louisa Clark as the title suggests Still Me. Despite her whole journey of self-discovery she managed to be herself. She is still true to her actual character even when she is evolving that is what one must learn from the character and the book that one must never lose their true self and identity under any circumstances life throws at one.
About Lou
Louisa is such a breath of fresh air. She is witty, honest, quirky, and adorable. She is really a good character. She has goodness down to the core of her heart. She could take up decisions that would fulfill her selfish motives but she never does that. She always does things for others, for the goodness of wellbeing.
The book is all about Louisa getting a new job in New York. She tries to do long-distance with her boyfriend Sam. More and more events occurred in between but she is still her. This is what the story is about. I personally like the story and enjoyed it. I loved that Louisa found her career she really wanted to do at the end which was a sweet tooth to the readers I think.
