Think from the end that your project is completed and is a success. How would you feel? There are tons of time management hacks and strategies developed to get more done in less time. Here are Brian Tracy’s favorite time management techniques to be effective in less time and stop procrastinating.

1) Think on paper. Break down the job into parts

Simply writing down every detail and thoroughly preparing in advance will help you define the good starting point.
Once you do that just keep on following the steps that you have laid out for yourself until the job is complete.

2) Come fully prepared for each task you work on

When you begin a task make sure you have everything on hand so that you won’t have to get up and move until the task is done.

Being fully prepared is a powerful motivator for staying with the task until it is finished.

3) Take on a small step to get started for time management

There is an 80/20 rule that says that 20% of tasks often account for 80% of the value of that task.

A Journey of a thousand leagues begins with a single step. Once you have taken even one small step to start the job, you will often find yourself continuing on with the task to completion.

4) Use The Salami Slice Method

Cut up the task into small parts; do it bit by bit. You would never try to eat a whole loaf of Salami at once. Sometimes to complete a major task is to take a small slice and complete just that piece, just like you would a piece of salami and eat only that.

time management

This will give you the momentum if you complete pieces of tasks and it will help you stop procrastinating.

5) The Swiss Cheese Method for time management

Select only a small 5 minutes part of the job. Do it in small chunks or small blocks of time. Break the task into small pieces & just do the task a small task at a time.

For example, Breaking down your writing. Writing a few pages a day.

6) Start With The End In Mind for time management

Start with the end in mind

Do each small task w/ the bigger goal in mind. This means “keep your eyes on the prize”. Have a vision of the end goal & how you would feel after you have accomplished this goal.

It’s a simple equation–the better you use your time, the more you will accomplish, and the greater you will succeed.
